Vincent Lhuillier - Brief Bio

Vincent Lhuillier holds a PhD in economics in 2000 (University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne). His doctorate in epistemology and history of economic thought was dedicated to the work of Walras, particularly to the question of how his theories on social and pure economy were articulated. On the other hand, as a member of the scientific comity of the MAUSS review, he used to work on social and economic policy issues and on contemporary debates on alternatives economies. His teaching activity at Orsay University reflects these fields of interest as he was in charge of the following courses: History of economic thought, Economic sociology, Development economics, Comparison between solidarity, informal and popular economies.

In 2001 he began to work at CERISIS-UCL. Member of the Social economy team, he was in charge of the Belgium part of the TSFEPS project, the EMES research on childcare services.

In 2004, he joined the Public Health School of Nancy as Assistant professor (Maitre de conference) where he teaches Health economy, Comparison of health systems, Health and development, Health social inequality.
