Adalbert Evers - Brief Bio

Adalbert Evers studied architecture and urban planning at the Technical University in Aachen, Germany and completed his doctoral thesis in Political Sciences in 1977 at the University of Bremen.

He was a lecturer in several German universities and he worked as a researcher at the European Centre for Social Welfare Policy and Research (EC) in Vienna. He is presently full Professor for Comparative Health and Social Policy at the Justus-Liebig-University in Giessen, where he holds a double membership status in the Institute for Political Sciences at the Department for Social and Cultural Sciences and the Institute for Household Economy and Consumer Research at the Department for Agrarian Sciences, Ecology and Environmental Management.

International Memberships:
He is an active member of several scientific associations and in the international/overseas board of various journals. He is a co-editor of a book series “Sociology and Social Policy” at the VS Verlag für Sozialwissenschaften.
